more! Magazine’s ‘Blog Boudoir’: An Update
Over the last month or so I’ve been blogging for more! as one of the magazine’s ‘Blog Boudoir-ers’ and to tell you the truth, I’m bloody lovin’ it. When my post pops up on their site every Thursday I’d be lying if I said it didn’t feel surreal (I practically think of myself as the president of the magazine’s fan club, you see…) and I really couldn’t feel more grateful for this amazing opportunity.
Before I slip into one of those notorious ‘I’d like to thank my family, and my friends…’ speeches (after all, this isn’t the Oscar’s and I’m no Sandra Bullock), I’d like to give you all the heads up you about our latest ‘challenge’, which I mentioned briefly a couple of weeks ago. When I received my latest email from Alison asking whether I’d like to make a video of myself for the website, I’m not going to lie- I thought I was going to collapse into a pile on the floor. When I say that I’m camera shy, I mean, I’m overally camera shy (after months of ‘practice’ I still find it ‘eeeek’ doing the ‘today I’m wearing’ posts!) but I’d always wanted to give the whole thing a pop, and this kick up the backside is exactly what I needed!
Although I’ll probably be cringing until the end of 2012 over this video, for a two minute clip it does represent me pretty well. I know it’s always really weird to hear people you’ve been reading about with an actual-human-voicebox too, so I hope it’s all not too strange for you all! Anyway, for those who want to see me making a prat of myself, then please head over to more!s website via this link or, you could watch my video on Youtube, HERE. I’d also thoroughly recommend watching the other girls videos on more!s ‘Blogs’ page, they’re all so, so lovely and it was a pleasure being able to find out ‘a bit more…’ (oh dear) about them too!

New Look’s Glitter Heeled Boots
For my latest 'Today I'm Wearing' post, I knew that I had to feature one of my 21st Birthday gifts, New Look's glitter heeled boot. Not only do they showcase the highly sort after glitter heel which blazed through the Fall catwalks thanks to Miu Miu, but they're also the colour of the season too, 'burgundy'. New Look are pretty much the shoe GODS of the High Street; they always have such an extensive collection of creative, unique shoes and they're always one of my first ports of call in the party season.

Of course, I’ve been lusting after the scent of Chanel Chance since the beginning of time, so it was lovely surprise to receive a bottle on Tuesday. I have a massive soft spot for anything Chanel, so obviously it was a necessity to include the gift bag and bottle in the rituals. Please excuse my make up-ed ‘less’ face, had to take these photos in a great sense of haste (unfortunately, I have work this evening. Boo. Hiss.)

Considering that these boots were only around £35, they’re undoubtedly a brilliant buy- they look like they’re worth hundreds! Thank you so much for the present, David!
Outfit: Leggings, Shirt and Boots- All New Look. Scent: Chanel Chance ‘Eau Fraiche’
PS- I received an email from More’s Executive Editor yesterday, Alison, and I’ve been given my first Blog Boudoir task! I won’t reveal what that so ‘challenge’ is just yet, but as soon as it’s complete and up on their website, I’ll let you all know!

My ‘Lydia’ Jeffrey Campbell Heels
Since forever, I’ve wanted a pair of Jeffrey Campbell heels. The brand has really taken off over the past year, and it’s not hard to see why- their heels are absolutely stunning! Well, you can imagine what my reaction was when Zalando said they’d send me a pair courtesy of their Zalando UK blog, saying I was over the moon is a complete understatement!
After literally watching the postman as if it was my life’s mission over the past week my pair of Lydia’s arrived in London this morning, and if anything I was more impressed with them in the flesh.

I’m 5’ 7 in ‘real life’ (so it’s not like I need a hand in the height department) but the Lydia’s elevate me to around 6 foot tall; it was so surreal to be that high up- my head was in the clouds literally and metaphorically! The heel itself isn’t ‘that’ high it’s the platform which makes the Lydia’s so tall, so they’re really easy to walk in and very comfortable. I was also really impressed with the ‘matte’ glitter effect too, it’s subtle and incredibly flattering and perfect for the upcoming party season. Zalando you are officially my new best friend, thank you once again!

You can purchase a pair of ‘Lydia’ Jeffrey Campbells from Zalando.co.uk, here or to have a look at Zalando’s JC selection- head over to this page!

Today I’m Wearing- Primark’s Yellow Satchel
It’s not often that I spend the weekend with my feet off the ground, dangling from a piece of metal whilst being thrown through the air- but alas, this is what I’ve been up to this weekend as I visited the fun packed Alton Towers! I’m a bit of an adrenaline junkie when I want to be, so it was really fun getting my fix of G-Forces from my favourite British theme park, and boy oh boy was it fun. I had an absolutely fantastic time, and I’d like to thank the one and only AT for putting us up in their hotel for the night!
Before I swanned off up north, my creatives juices were working overtime imagining where I could host my latest outfit post. Perhaps I could’ve captured the moment I got splashed by an ocean on the log flume? Or whilst I was ‘flying’ through the air on, well- ‘Air’? Unfortunately I didn’t factor the ‘appearances’ of rollercoasters into this ‘style’ equation (bless them, they’re not the prettiest of things!) so instead I turned to the beautiful Gardens and Manor House of the park, which posed as a wonderful alternative. I didn’t manage to get very many acceptable photos as I was so puffed out from the long day we’d had, but I hope the ones that were captured show how special this Primark bag is- and the little thing was only £7, such a bargain! The bag in question is from the latest A/W’11 collection and is in stores now, and I couldn’t recommend it enough! On the way back from Towers we also stopped off at ‘Bicester Village’, and tomorrow I’m planning on rambling on about the outlet heaven on the Babble- so keep your eyes peeled my lovelies! x

I also wore: Madonna tee from Tee and Cake at Topshop, Knitted cardi from Primark, and purple skinny jeans from Forever 21.

Today I’m ‘Wearing’- Topshop’s mustard DELIGHT
After selecting Topshop’s yellow satchel as my ‘Fashion Find’ a few weeks ago, I was incredibly lucky to receive it as a gift from a very dear best friend of mine (thank you very, very much David!). As I’m particularly fond of the item in question I thought it’d be a little unfair to simply 'dash it on my parent's carpet and take a photo'- a tradition which has somehow established itself on the Babble, so voila- here is my first ever accessory post!
If any of you are in the process of rummaging through the shops for a new lifetime companion, then I couldn’t recommend this little beaut enough. Not only is it 100% leather (meaning, it won’t pass away after a couple of weeks of use!) but the leather is such a beautiful tone, and will literally brighten up any outfit and give it that extra pazazz. Also, considering mustard is a staple colour in the A/W palette I think we can safely say that this one is a good buy! Topshop, you’re a GENIUS. And yes, I absolutely bluddy love it.
Playsuit: Urban Outfitters, Belt: Urban Outfitters, Watch: Vintage, Ring: Primark

Topshop’s ‘Mustard Twist Buckle Leather Lady Bag’ is the bee’s knees. If you want to get your mitts on it (but need your arm twisting that little bit more), then have a look at the beaut on the Toppy website: http://bit.ly/pcKtbM

'Today' I'm Wearing: Purple Maxi Skirt, in St Lucia
Before I went on holiday, I made a vow that I’d take photos for an outfit post- my back garden can only go so far, after all. Seeing as though my beloved Primark maxi skirt became my partner in crime whilst I was away, I thought it would be the perfect subject for my next post! I bought it a couple of months ago in my local store but I have seen it around others since, and I literally couldn’t recommend it enough!
I fell in love with the villa we stayed in, I would’ve happily parked up and lived there forever! I’ve only been back three days but it already feels like an eternity- Jalousie, I will be back! (And I will be writing a short review of the hotel over the weekend, you mark my words! The hotel definitely deserves it’s praises to be sung, and loudly for that matter.) I hope you’re all well, and I hope to hear from you soon! Lots of love, Laura x

Vest top: H&M, Belt: Vintage, Maxi Skirt: Primark (still in stores now, £11!) and polka dot flip flops: Tesco (in stores now, £2), Sunglasses: River Island (in the summer sale, £3)

Today I’m Wearing…
I’m officially counting down the days until my holiday now (I can’t wait to get a bit of colour in my cheeks, I look so pasty!) and I’m already starting to plan what ‘section’ of my wardrobe to take with me. Seeing as though I’ll be taking all of my summer gear, I’m going to do a handful of outfit posts whilst I’m away, so watch out for those! 8 days till I’m off- eeee! Hope everything’s good with you all! xx

Dress- Pull and Bear (in stores now!) Hat- Primark (in stores now!) Bag- Primark, Bangle- New Look, White Brogues- Topshop.

Today I’m Wearing- ‘Retro Florals’
The sun has finally decided to show it’s face here in London- hence the brash, pattern ridden playsuit (which just so happens to be one of my favourite purchases ever!). And seeing as though I feel like some sort of ‘retro kid’ with this piece of gorgeousness on, I thought the photo effect was more than appropriate. Hope you’re all well my lovelies, and a big hello to all my new followers! :)
Playsuit: Miss Selfridge, Sunglasses: Primark (in stores now), White Brogues: Topshop, Satchel: Primark (in stores now)
