An Olympic Sized Bargain
On the 26th of July, Coca Cola will be hosting the Olympic Torch Relay Finale at Hyde Park, and unfortunately it seems to have gone under the radar of public knowledge. So being the kind, live music loving fiend that I am, I thought I’d spread the word so that pop lovers like you and me will have the opportunity to secure yourself a ticket; or ten.
The big question is- who is involved in this Hyde Park music ‘I’m going to kick off the Olympics’ bonanza? The bonkers Dizzee Rascal has been announced as the headliner and supporting the big man: The Wanted, Mark Ronson, Katy B, Eliza Doolittle, You Me At Six, Rizzle Kicks, Wretch 32 and more will also be gracing the stage to entertain an 80,000 strong crowd. And the best bit? A ticket could be yours for just £15, aka- a big, fat, massive BARGAIN (or a week’s worth of latte’s, to you and me). To put that into perspective, Wireless and Hard Rocking Calling are both charging £55 per day, whereas the Opening and Closing Olympic ceremonies are both £62 each, and the golden oldie Madonna is a whopping £77. Wow.
So, for just a few pennies you could be rockin’ Hyde Park with Dizzee as your DJ. Along with 79,999 other party goers, right in the thick of the Olympic madness. Why am I swanning off abroad on this week in particular again?!
If you want to grab yourself a ticket for Coca Cola’s event, head over to the Ticketmaster page, here. And to clarify- I was not asked (poked or hinted at) to write this blog post.
