Kasabian for Hackney’s Big Weekend
Now don’t get me wrong, I adore the BBC for putting up such an amazing show for free. Well, a measly £2.50 booking- and I don’t want to seem ungrateful in the slightest, but the other day I noticed a BIG change in the Hackney Big Weekend line up. Yes, Florence has been moved to the Sunday (all of us Saturday-ers, lets cry together) and to say that I was disappointed was a massive understatement. I’ve wanted to see Florence bellow from the high heavens for ages, so I was sad. On a Kleenex level; understandably.
But now, the BBC have just announced that Kasabian are going to appear, expectedly in the Florence shaped hole that was going to be left bare before Jay Z’s headlining spot. They aren’t my favourite band in the world but seeing as though they have an incredible reputation for dishing out only the best standards of live music, Radio 1 have redeemed themselves. ‘Ish’.
So, are any of you lot going to the Big Weekend? Drop me a comment below if you are! And, if any of the rest of you want a nosey at the line up then your lucks in, I’ve put in a perfectly placed link for your viewing pleasure- here.
