My High St Picks- (From) Primark
As of pre- 25th of April, I had been going through a bit of a ‘new clothes’ drought. I hadn’t bought anything for what felt like months, and after an unlucky set of shopping trips which reaped no gain, I was getting restless. Of course I relish retail therapy as much as the next person, but I enjoy it even more when I end up with achy wrists due to the sheer amount of  strength required to drag my bits and pieces home. That, my friends is when I know I’ve done well.
Now I won’t claim that I had the most successful shopping trip of all time yesterday, as my best friend and I only bought things in Primark, but we did manage to bag some gems. First things first the Primark I’m casually dropping into conversation just so happens to be the mother of all Primark’s (aka, Oxford Circus) which is literally the busiest shop on the planet. Within five seconds I felt overcome with sardine syndrome and making your way through crowds of clothes with a trillion others isn’t exactly a laugh a minute. But, what made the trip so worthwhile were these BEA-UTIFUL parrot leggings. Have you ever seen such a delight in your life?! Answer: no.

Apologies for the tiny photo, Photobucket decided to shite all over my dreams with this one.
I had to take a punt and buy the things as the queue for the changing room was beyond belief (picture: me, best friend attempting to find a vacant mirror, trying on tops over our tops to decide what to buy? Hilarous yet not so pretty sight) but they exceeded my expectations completely. 1) They’re not see through. No pant preview for you lot, I’m afraid. 2) The parrot is positioned on the leg SO expertly that you look like an actual walking talking zoo and 3) They’re so fun to wear. Like, seriously fun!
As soon as Club Tropicana weather decides to overcome these dodgy April Showers then a ‘Today I’m Wearing’ post will be up here like a shot, you mark my words. Until then, an (equally) dodgy floor shot will unfortunately have to do. So, the dets. These leggings were £6- which is officially a big, fat bargain, and the teal men’s hoodie, which is so very, very soft was only £12. Score.
So, my advice for today? Head to Primark, and get yourself your own aviary/zoo. These leggings will be whipped out all over the summer months for me, that’s for sure!
